Technical Inspection

The National Capital Chapter has arranged with certain repair shops to perform the pre-event technical inspection. Unless otherwise noted, there is no charge for the inspection. Note that most shops will charge you for a brake fluid flush, if required, in addition to any needed repairs. Other shops may inspect your car, but they may charge you for the inspection. To arrange for a technical inspection, please:
  1. Call and make an appointment as soon as possible but at least one week before the event.
  2. Take your technical inspection form with you when you go.
  3. Remind the mechanic or service advisor to go through your form item by item and check off each entry.
  4. Sign and date your form.

These shops are offering technical inspection as a favor to you and to the National Capital Chapter. It would be nice if you scheduled your technical inspection along with other work. If they find anything wrong with your car, you must fix it and bring proof of the repair with you to the track. They are in no way warranting or guaranteeing the safety or condition of you car; they are merely inspecting it for obvious deficiencies at the time of the inspection. Responsibility for the safety and condition of your car is yours and yours alone.
