The Road to Chincoteague
Saturday, October 27-28, 2001
Start: 9:00 a.m.
Join us for our first overnight tour in several years. We will meet early Saturday morning and travel as a caravan to Chincoteague, Virginia. The starting location will be at the Double T Diner, 12 Defense St, Annapolis, MD. Our trip will be approximately 5 hours, covering 180 miles of Southern Maryland, Delaware and Virginia back roads. Our final destination will be the Comfort Suites Motel. A block of 15 rooms has been set aside at $99-$108. Call the Comfort Suites at 757/336-2700 to make your reservations. Rooms will be held no later than September 27. Be sure to mention the BMW Car Club for our special rate. For those who can take an extra day off, you might want to check out one of the several Bed & Breakfasts on the island. (Most Bed & Breakfasts have a two-day minimum. See URL below.)
Plans for Chincoteague are still being worked out. If anyone has any suggestions, please contact Steven Schlossman. Maybe a casual dinner or breakfast? Or some sightseeing, or just stress-free relaxing before our cars are tucked away for the winter.
If you are interested in joining our Fall Tour, please RSVP no later than September 27, preferably by e–mail, to Steven Schlossman at stevenhappytogethercom or by phone, 202/478-0768.
